Massyl brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and IP strategy to the table, with a background spanning chemistry, materials science, and engineering. He began his career as a researcher at Duke University before joining the intellectual property department of a top-tier engineering firm, where he focused on enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of patent research. With years of hands-on experience navigating the complexities of technical disclosures and prior art analysis, Massyl is now focused on transforming how innovative companies approach IP. His mission is to empower in-house patent professionals by replacing manual document review with intelligent automation—unlocking more time for strategic, high-impact decisions.
Jake is a pioneer in applying cutting-edge AI to some of the most complex challenges in natural language processing and technical research analysis. Since 2019, he has specialized in using large language models to extract insight from dense scientific and engineering literature. When he connected with Massyl and learned how outdated and inefficient the patent search process remained, he immediately recognized the opportunity. Jake has since focused on building scalable AI systems that automate high-stakes patent analysis, combining deep technical fluency with a product-driven mindset to push the boundaries of what’s possible in IP automation.
